It is said the Bible contains some of the purest, most romantic prose ever written; the books of Psalms and Song of Solomon are two very recognizable poetry and prose sections that immediately comes to mind. People all over the world have been blessed by the words contained in these two books for centuries. They have been the inspiration for many to take up pen and paper and begin writing.

Joanna Gilbert-Hilton, is a poet, author and radio personality on WKTO. On and off the radio her time is busy writing and reciting poetry to various church groups and audiences  around Florida.

Whisper Of The Heart

I can hear Him calling

across the valley and mountain

 His voice soft, enthralling

As He pleads again, yet again,

Turn beloved, come to me

I will ease the burdens carried

Lift your soul to eternity,

give you my peace unsullied

Only just for you that I built,

a kingdom of radiant light

 I came to take your guilt

You are beautiful in my sight

Hold on to my truth until,

The Day Star rises in your heart

Anointing like rain will fill

Your empty vessel, as my love I impart

Come with me to a higher realm

Walking together in a garden of light

Heavens power at the helm

In robe of righteousness, sanctified sight.
