Prime The Well: Life and Death

Prime The Well: Life and Death:     How do you choose life? See, I have set before you this day  life and good,  and death and evil ... I have set before you ...

Life and Death

How do you choose life?

See, I have set before you this day
 life and good,
and death and evil...

I have set before you
 life and death,
the blessings and the curses;
 therefore choose life,

that you and your descendants may live.  20And may love the Lord your God, obey His voice, and cling to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (Deut. 30: 15, 19-20)

Jesus came into the world to abolish the curse and destroy sin's hold over our lives.  Jesus removed death and curses out of existence, totally destroying them both in hell when He became sin and the curse, then paying it's penalty to the uttermost requirement of God. That action set us free! Free to live the lives God created us to live.

That day Satan lost everything! He lost his right to point the accusing finger of accusation, and he lost the right to demand death for sinners. Jesus took from him his rights, stripped him naked for all eyes to see.

"It is finish", Jesus declared from the cross. And it is!

So why do we still need to choose life? Because Satan is still a deceiver, he is the father of all lies...and people tend to walk by sight rather than by faith. that is lie number one; the doorway of deception.

His lying has caused people to live as though Jesus' death has made no difference at all in this world.

The choice today, is to believe Jesus bought your life with His blood, and gave you His righteousness in return. This choice brings you into the presence of God where death flees. There is no more death to be feared, and there is no longer the affects of the curse to destroy your life. Jesus nailed them all to the cross for you and for me and brought them down to hell where they belonged. Because there is no longer a penalty to be required they cannot leave the confines of hell. Hell's appetite has been satisfied. It is finished. The curse has been removed and death has lost it's sting.

Only love remains.

Saints of God, this is the 'Good News', this is the gospel that must be preached  to a world who still believes Satan is armed and dangerous. Open their eyes to Jesus and His love. When our focus is on the love of God, love is what we reap, unconditional love from Father God, with no accusing finger pointed toward us, just arms stretched out wide to embrace us.

Embrace God back by believing HIM.

Beautiful Poetry

Reflections of His Glory-
Candles of the Soul Poetry
                               by Joanna Gilbert-Hilton

It is said the Bible contains some of the purest, most romantic prose ever written; the books of Psalms and Song of Solomon are two very recognizable poetry and prose sections that immediately comes to mind. People all over the world have been blessed by the words contained in these two books for centuries. They have been the inspiration for many to take up pen and paper and begin writing.

Joanna at WKTO
Joanna Gilbert-Hilton, is a poet, author and radio personality on WKTO. On and off the radio her time is busy writing and reciting poetry to various church groups and audiences  around Florida.
Her book, (titled above) has been a gift from God to all of us who share this love for poetry.
I would like to introduce you to yet another excerpt from Joanna's collection of poems.

Whisper Of The Heart

I can hear Him calling
across the valley and mountain
 His voice soft, enthralling
As He pleads again, yet again,

Dorine Pederzani Photography
Turn beloved, come to me
I will ease the burdens carried
Lift your soul to eternity,
give you my peace unsullied

Only just for you that I built,
a kingdom of radiant light
I came to take your guilt
You are beautiful in my sight
Hold on to my truth until,
The Day Star rises in your heart
Anointing like rain will fill
Your empty vessel, as my love I impart

Come with me to a higher realm
Walking together in a garden of light
Heavens power at the helm
In robe of righteousness, sanctified sight.

God bless.

Praising God For Complete Restoration!

By His Stripes You Are Healed!

Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment],
yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him--
we are healed and made whole.
Isaiah 53:4-5, AMP
Spirit Fire Church, ministering healing.

Restoration
by Joanna Gilbert-Hilton

Infuse us with your awesome truth.
Fill us with your glory.
Bring all nations under your roof,
Redeemed by the age-old story.

Spirit Fire Church,
blessing God's chosen for greater works of service.
Let Your healing rain fall
As we worship in frailty and hope.
Dear Jesus, we give You our all-
God's instruments to help others cope.
Stained glass comfort wrap around
Each lonely, desolate heart.
Karen Hershmiller, dancing in the anointing.
Your eternal love exalts new ground-
Fresh direction, sustaining right start.
Sow a harvest, Father, I pray.
Reach down in infinite compassion.
Complete trust in You is the only way;
Your hands a blessed future will fashion.

Raise your downcast heart to see
Wonders that surround every day;
Our joy and stength stems from Thee;
Holy Trinity, deliverance we pray.
It's important for our livelihood that we understand and comprehend the good gifts of God.
Knowing what God has given us, will alleviate; confusion, fear, frustation and discouragement. Read and meditate on His word and let Holy Spirit illuminate the truth of it to you, that will bring you to a revelation knowledge of God's truth and faithfulness. Let us not grow weary and be destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Remember, Eve was deceived by lack of knowledge; Adam wasn't deceived, but negligible to apply what God had told him.

The bible is God's word-- What has He told you...

"Beautiful words stir my heart.
I will recite a lovely poem about the king,
for my tongue is like the pen of a skillful poet."
   Psalm 45:1

Joanna Gilbert-Hilton -Skillful Poetess
I recently met, Joanna Gilbert-Hilton, at a Florida radio station, while accompanying, Becky Dvorak for an interview with Carol Henry, at WKTO.  Becky had just authored her first book, "Dare To Believe", published by Destiny Image.
(You’ll have to wait to read more about Becky and the miracles she and her husband's been privy to witness  in a later scheduled  blog from, "Prime The Well"/ "Picture This~").
The first thing I notice about, Joanna was her sublime English accent; I love to listen to people speak in British accents, they sound so proper and artfully expressive. I shouldn’t be surprise then to find out that Joanna is the author of a poetry book, and recently awarded “Editor’s Choice” for outstanding achievement in poetry; by the International Library of Poetry.
Her published book titled, "Reflections Of His Glory- Candles of the Soul Poetry,"  is illustrated with scenic photos, taken by her daughter, Nina Collins; the pictures give us a glimpse into the soul of every poem; the book is appropriately so sub-titled; Candles of the Soul Poetry.
Every poem penned, is about Father God and His attributes; His love, his faithfulness to us, the peace available that quiets our frantic thoughts, and of course the power of His authorative Word.
Everything about His glory she highlights in her poems.
It’s a small book, containing twenty-two poems bursting with expression to fill up your senses with a comforting peacefulness.  If your habit is bedtime reading, you're sure to experience the sweetest sleep.
As I read these poems, I realized how God was speaking right through Joanna  to my heart. She is a conduit of God’s caring hand to individuals she may never meet.  There is one poem expressly impacting, “Step By Step”.
Step By Step
By Joanna Gilbert-Hilton
When pangs of sorrow or past regret
Make life uphill and hard to bear,
Pause a moment, remember, and let
Happier memories their presence share.
For oftentimes when we are down
Showers can seem like pouring rain.
There is no need to doubt and frown.
Trust God! He’ll raise you up again.
All nature sings to us of His blessing-
Created, fashioned, for our pleasure.
See with spiritual eyes, glory possessing;
God rent the veil! Inestimable treasure…
He will perfect His great plan for you;
Your life undergo a divine turnaround.
Step by Step He'll lead you through-
Peace under His almighty wings found.

GOING HOME!

God is good, and His promises are forever. God will bring you through to an expected end. Just open up your eyes and look, stop moving for a moment, and look around. You'll see you're in a brand new place, and if you look long enough, you'll recognized it as, HOME!

Now, home, for me is an important word. Many years ago I received a word ,of knowledge, from the Lord, that I didn't understand. He spoke three things to me, "Go to school to get trained, two years, going home." Isn't that just like the Lord to speak in short concise sentences. I understood the first two parts, but I didn't understand the ending, 'going home', and for years I questioned what He meant.

I followed through with going to school, I attended, Spirit Fire School of Ministry for two years and got the best training for ministry. After a few years, Dr. Pat Rush, the founder of the school, became a pastor of, Spirit Fire Church;  under the direction of Holy Spirit, she herself hesitant to become a pastor, finally took that leap of faith. I worked at the church for many years getting the hands on training one needs for ministry, and got my degree in Religious Education. After a few more years had gone by, this word of knowledge I had received, still puzzled me. What does, 'going home', mean? I became convinced that 'home', was my church family, and that's what God meant, so for many years I believed I was 'home'.
Then, my brother got sick, and when he died, I realized I had to move back home to Massachusetts, I thought perhaps, I had been mistaken and my church family wasn't what God had meant by 'home'. Now, I thought, the third part of what God had told me had finally come to pass. After moving back to Massachusetts for five or six months, to take care of my parents, it became apparent, that was not what God meant either, so we moved back to Florida, and God provided another to take care of my parents. You can imagine how confused I became, especially when we got back and things still didn't feel like 'home'.  By now I've been through a whirlwind, and my thoughts couldn't make heads or tails of what happen or what God meant, I didn't know what to think anymore. So I put it behind me.

Just because we don't understand somethings does not make God veer from His timeline. I thought I had an urgent need to understand, I went through years of asking and searching. But, God replied to me as He did to Paul, "My grace is sufficient..." so, I carried on.

But may I reiterate what I said at the beginning, God is faithful and keeps His promises. Life is a process and must be walked out one step at a time. Our trials will bring patience and maturity to understand abstract thoughts with a keener depth of insight,  pin pointing to a certain truth.

Six years has past since moving back to Florida, and in that time I've had an adventure with God. I've been up and I've been down as though one was in a whirlwind. During those tumultuous times I have grown and learn to live in a place in God deeper than I've ever experienced before.

As we get ready to embark on our seventh year, I had a dream from God that woke me up. In the dream three things were conveyed; going home, rising to the top, hell taken out of the way. In my dream I was aware of being in a very good state of mind, as if finally getting over a hurdle. In one part of the dream, I was walking and stopped to take in my surroundings, and began to recognize I was back in a place where I onced lived. I was amazed to be there and immediately experienced great joy. It was a time in my life where life was just beginning and I had no burdens, everything was new and exciting and I had no disappointments. I knew immediately God was showing me something and I woke up.

God had opened my eyes to understanding what 'going home' meant.  He brought me back to a place in time that I could relate to, and in that place everything was good, I began to realize that place gave me the feeling of being 'home'; I had found my 'home' in Him. He is my place of,  being and knowing, He is that place of utter satisfaction, He is that, wide open, area where I am loved. He is the, cream, that rises me to the top, and He is the one who took hell out of  my path. He is my brand new beginning.

Every thought one could conjure up, every queston we could ask, He (Jesus), is its satisfaction. I am home, I am rising to the top, and the ceiling is removed from me....and I feel such a sweet completion there.
